Teldat
Security telecommunications expertise...
As
part of the Teldat Group, Teldat Security (a.k.a. Telsec) offers
its customers more than 20 years of experience manufacturing
modems, routers and other telecommunication devices. This vast
experience is backed-up by a large worldwide customer base (banks,
large corporations, security companies,...) that has relied on
Teldat products to take care of their telecommunication needs for
a variety of applications and services.
Active
in the security industry for the last 7 years, Teldat Security has
adapted Teldat’s telecommunication and expertise to offer the
security industry advanced and reliable communication solutions
that will offer traditional security services and products all the
benefits of today’s high-speed and wireless networks.
Telecommunications
and security...
The
emergence of high-speed land and wireless networks and the wide
availability, performance and price point that this networks have
reached today, is threatening the traditional telephone line based
voice services as well as many others that relied on the fact that
telephone lines were available (and already paid for) almost
everywhere.
At
the same time, high-speed and wireless networks are also offering
the same traditional telephone based services they threaten a
whole new set of possibilities to improve and evolve, supporting
new features and high added value functionalities. For this to
happen, telephone based services and products will need to
interface with these new networks, either by using some kind of
M2M (machine-to-machine) device that would work as an adapter or
by integrating communication technology on the new product
versions.
Alarm
transmission services are no exception to this market trend, and
its telephone based alarm panels will have to adapt to the new
communication networks, both to offer new functionalities and
service levels as well as to be prepared for the not so distant
case of not having a telephone line handy!.
Communication
dd-on modules for Contact-ID based alarm panels…
Telsec
has designed a whole family of add-on communication modules that
allow any Contact-ID based alarm panel to work over almost any
network: ADSL, Cable, Wireless (GSM, SMS, GPRS, 3G…).
The
Contact-ID protocol, available in most alarm panels and one of the
protocols supported by most of Telsec’s modules, allows panel
manufacturers to easily integrate Telsec communication modules
with their products. The add-on module approach is also a perfect
solution to offer a “communications upgrade option” to the
existing installed base of alarm panels.
Serial
interface for full operation over high-speed and wireless
networks…
Telsec’s
modules also offer a serial communication channel (only available
on some versions – check product documentation for further
information) that can be used to implement a complete integration
for those manufacturers that want to include full support for all
their product’s functionalities over the new communication
networks.
The
“m” product line…

 |
mIP
: Internet (IP) transmission module |
| The
mIP can be added to any ContactID alarm panel for alarm
transmission over the internet. It also offers line
supervision functionalities and, in some versions it can
be used for full bi-directionality over IP. |
|
 |
mGSM:
Cellular (GSM) transmission module |
| Line
supervision and alarm transmission over the GSM cell phone
network. The mGSM provides wireless backup to regular
telephone line alarm panels or can be used as the main
transmission media for installations were a telephone line
is not available. |
|
 |
mSMS:
Short message cellular (GSM) transmission module |
| Line
supervision and alarm transmission using short messages
over the GSM cell phone network. The mSMS is capable of
sending alarms simultaneously to the monitoring station
and to and end-user cell phone. Offers fast installation
with almost no wiring involved |
|
 |
mGPRS: High speed cellular (GPRS) transmission
module |
| Constant
line supervision and high-speed wireless alarm
transmission using the GSM cell phone network. Faster
alarm response time and always-on supervision for all
contact ID alarm panels. |
IP and wireless central station alarm receiver…
|
 |
VisorALARM : IP, SMS, GPRS & 3G receiver |
| The
VisorALARM receiver is a multi-channel alarm receiver
capable of handling several network types simultaneously.
The VisorALARM will receive alarms from any mIP (alarm
transmission over the internet), mSMS (alarm transmission
using short messages over the GSM network) and mGPRS (line
supervision and alarm transmission over the high speed GSM
network). Uses a real time embedded operating system for
high performance and reliability. Supports three levels of
redundancy for high availability configurations. |
